Small Business of the Month
Since becoming your MP for Crewe and Nantwich, I’ve been on a mission to champion the independent businesses that make our towns thrive. As part of that ongoing commitment, at the end of each month I present a Small Business of the Month award to one of the enterprises nominated by you.
These awards are themed around small business excellence in Crewe and Nantwich. The primary aim is to recognise and celebrate outstanding small businesses in our area, building community engagement and promoting local economic growth.
How it works
Nominations for the Small Business of the Month shortlist are open to the public, and considered on a rolling basis. Each month, a panel, comprising of myself and my staff, will review nominations and select a shortlist of businesses that overachieve in areas such as customer service excellence, innovation in business practices, contribution to the local community, and commitment to sustainability.
We will then open votes to the public, giving voters the chance to select a small business in Crewe and Nantwich that you think goes the extra mile. The winner will be announced on the last Monday of each month.
Small Business of the Year
This month, we’re doing things a bit differently to celebrate a year of Small Business of the Month and all of the fantastic places that have participated so far.
We’ve invited all of the winners of the Small Business of the Month competition to take part in one final poll before 2025 draws to a close. The poll will run in the same format as usual, the only difference being you can now vote between all of the winners from the last year.
The vote will close on Friday 19th December, when the winner of the Small Business of the Year will be announced. They will be awarded prizes kindly donated by local sponsors.
